Does the tool establish the content? To answer this question and in order to inspire my creativity, I searched for an impossible tool, which should not refer directly to the history of art and with which I would need to re-invent everything. The entirety of these works is built with matches burnt down to black ashes, embossed on a clear white paper, with the help of a newspaper printing machine.

Are there no more blank pages? During my one year residence in Australia, while walking to my studio, I would, on a daily basis, pick up a few newspapers, which I have used for this painting. Spawned by my understanding of the Pavlov reactions, each abstract composition reflects the wish to question our natural sense of balance and composition.
